The National Weather Service confirms that a tornado hit in the Atlanta area Wednesday afternoon.
An EF-1 tornado struck in Cobb County. National Weather Service teams are still investigating several other possible tornados that slammed four other counties as well.
This security video is from a school in Atlanta and shows the powerful winds that swept through the region.
At least one tree was caught toppling on camera. The other tornadoes have been confirmed by radar.
