As the school year finally draws to a close, I thought it would be time to put out another compilation of drivers who either accidentally or purposefully disregard the flashing lights and stop arm that activate when my school bus stops. Since my previous video, I had stopped recording for probably a good 2 months. But a few weeks ago, a driver going nearly 70 miles per hour drove onto the wrong side of the road to pass our bus from behind, nearly hitting a car in the opposite direction and a student crossing the road. I then decided it was time to start recording again... with a new and better quality phone! Now, it is possible to zoom in on the license plate numbers of the car (and the faces of the driver), making reporting them much easier.

Remember that you cannot pass a school bus when the red lights are flashing — even when the school bus is coming from the other direction on a four-lane highway with a painted center median strip or a center turn lane. All vehicles must stop and remain stopped as long as red lights are flashing.
There is one exception to this law - if you are on a divided highway with two sides separated by an unpaved median strip or barrier, you must stop only if you are on the same side as the bus.
School Bus Drivers will turn on flashing amber lights 100 - 300 feet in advance, to warn traffic that the bus is preparing to stop on the road to load or unload children. Drivers should get ready to stop.
